Safety first
- Check the age grade on each product page before you buy for a child.
- Not food. Many squishies look like snacks. They are toys and must never be eaten or chewed.
- Small parts. Crunchy squishies contain small beads. If a squishy tears, take it away from young children straight away and throw it out. Keep away from children who still put things in their mouths.
- Adult supervision is recommended for younger kids.
- Keep squishies away from pets. Dogs and cats love to chew them.
Keep it squishy
- Store at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Heat can make squishies sticky; cold can make them stiff.
- Keep away from sharp objects, nails and rough surfaces.
- Squeeze, don’t stretch. Pulling or twisting hard is the most common reason squishies tear.
- Slow-rise and silicone squishies can get a little tacky over time. A light dusting of cornstarch or baby powder brings back the soft feel.
Cleaning
Wipe gently with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap, then let it air-dry. Don’t put squishies in the washing machine, dishwasher or microwave, and don’t soak crunchy ones.
Small differences are normal
Many squishies are hand-finished, so colors and details can vary slightly from the photos. A slight smell when you first open a squishy is normal and fades after a day or two in the open air.
